Units
How does the metric system make unit conversions simpler than the imperial system?
Metric uses prefixes (powers of 10), so you can convert by moving the decimal.

Scientific Notation
Give one time scientific notation is helpful, and one time that it isn’t needed.
Helpful for very big or very small numbers. Not needed for normal-sized numbers.

Graphs
Why are scatter plots helpful for quickly finding a relationship in data?
They show points visually, so patterns and trends are easier to notice.

Scalars vs Vectors
Are scalars “not useful” because they have less info than vectors?
No. Scalars are useful when direction doesn’t matter (like time or temperature).

Distance vs Displacement
Why would distance be more helpful than displacement when someone asks “how far away are you”?
Distance matches the route/path traveled, which is usually what people mean.

Speed
Speeding tickets are based on average velocity or instantaneous velocity?
Instantaneous velocity, because it measures speed at one moment.

Acceleration
Does a negative acceleration always mean an object is slowing down?
No. It depends on the direction of the velocity compared to the acceleration.

Correlation
Daily high temperatures rise in spring/summer and fall in fall/winter. What type of correlation is that?
A cyclical relationship because the pattern repeats each year.
